Sushi Rice


Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup rice
  • 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a large pot
  2. Add 1-1 ½ cups of rice
  3. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes
  4. Meanwhile Combine 4 tablespoons of rice vinegar with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tsp of salt in a small saucepan, bring to boil over medium heat until dissolved. Set aside to cool
  5. Transfer rice to a bowl, pour seasoning over the rice while the rice is still hot
  6. Mix everything together with a wooden spoon

Uses

  • Can use to make sushi rolls, with avocado, cucumbers, cream cheese
  • Can use to make poke bowls

Spicy Mayo recipe

  • ⅓ cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce
  • Squeeze of lime juice
