Homemade Flour Tortillas


Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp Kosher salt
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup hot water 

Preparation:
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large wooden bowl
Add spoonfulls of shortening until course crumb
Slowly pour hot water in stirring to bring mixture together
Knead dough 30-40 times until becomes a cohesive ball of dough,cover with a tea towel for 1 hour

Roll into ping pong sized balls press and cook on griddle
