- 1 pound salted butter softened
- 1 tsp water
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Preheat oven to 275 degrees
Measure sugar into a large mixing bowl and sprinkle with water
Cream butter into the sugar using a wooden spoon
Add flour and knead dough with your hands until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl
Press dough into an ungreased 9x13-inch glass baking pan.
Spread it flat right into the corners
Prink with a fork about at 1 inch intervals.
Sprinkle all with 1/4 cup white sugar
Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour or until pale golden.
Cut while hot with a pizza cutter
