Sour Cream Noodle Bake


Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ pound ground chuck
  • 15 ounce can of tomato sauce
  • 1 ¼ cup cottage cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup sliced green onion
  • 1 ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 ounces egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 350
  2. Brown ground chuck in large skillet, drain fat, add tomato sauce, ½ tsp salt and black pepper. Stir and simmer while you prepare the other ingredients.
  3. Cook egg noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside in a large bowl. Add sour cream, cottage cheese and onions to the noodles and stir
  4. To assemble, add half of the noodles to the baking dish. Top with half of the meat mixture, then sprinkle with half of the grated cheddar. Repeat the layers and bake for 20 minutes until all of the cheese is melted.
